When the decision was made that a new team will be formed, I was really excited at the prospect of having the opportunity to captain the new team.

Though I had lingering loyalty towards the Incredibles, it was easy to set that aside once I was discarded by the Incredibles. It was now an opportunity to lead a new team to the title of MPL champions.

As the captain of the 5th team, I had the whole pool of players available after the other 4 captains had picked theirs.  There were plenty of good players left in the pool  and the following were by top 5- Pritish, Dipesh, Anil, Anuj and  Koundi. 

Dipesh was an obvious choice as he has consistently performed brilliantly as a bowler and has been the top pace bowler in the last 2 MPLs (only second to Rafeeq in the overall standings). He is also a left hander (valuable commodity in the MPL) and a solid striker of the ball.

My second decision was made easy by Rohith’s decision to not retain Anil.  Anil is an excellent bowler, batsman and fielder and can single handedly win games for Transformers. I expect Anil  to be vying for MVP  crown this year en route to lifting the MPL trophy with the Transformers.
